New Advisors – Prof. Tsui Lap-Chee and Mr. Johnson Kong



Mr. Stephen WONG and Ir Edmund LEUNG (Committee Chairmen of the The ESG Consortium (ESGC), and Mr. Hugh Chow, Executive Director ESGC, had the great honor to welcome two new Advisors to ESGC: Prof. TSUI Lap-Chee and Mr. Johnson KONG. The group convened on February 27th at The Hong Kong Club. Prof. TSUI and Mr. KONG are much respected professionals in their fields. They are passionate to contribute to the ESGC’s vision and mission.

Prof. TSUI is the 14th Vice-chancellor, President of The University of Hong Kong, former President of the Academy of Sciences of Hong Kong, and Emeritus University Professor of the University of Toronto. Prof TSUI shared, “With all the expertise among the Committee Members and Advisors in The ESG Consortium, I am confident in Hong Kong being an international leader in sustainability development. I look forward to sharing what I know, and working with the executive team and my fellow members of the Consortium.”

Mr. KONG, Managing Director of BDO, and former President of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), said, “The ESG Consortium paves a credible path forward for Hong Kong in ESG, especially among SMEs, encouraging them to practice sustainability while getting recognized at the same time. I am happy to have the opportunity to be part of it.”
