We are honoured to welcome Mr. Simon Chan, BBS, JP to The ESG Consortium as Advisor. Mr. Simon Chan is a highly experienced professional with a career spanning over 40 years in banking, finance, and information technology industries. He has held various senior roles in Nanyang Commercial Bank, Limited and Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, and also served as a director of several other companies.

Mr Chan has extensive knowledge in corporate governance, risk management, and IT security, among other areas. He has been appointed to various public organizations and industry entities, including the Chairman of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited and the Chairman of Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited. Mr Chan holds a bachelor’s degree in social science, two master’s degrees, and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a Certified Internal Auditor.

We are also pleased to announce that Ms. Winnie Chi Woon Cheung has joined our Standard Committee as a new member. Ms. Cheung is a psychotherapist and Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in the accounting industry and public policy research. She is also the former Chief Executive & Registrar of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the former CEO of Civic Exchange.

Mr. Chan and Ms. Cheung will undoubtedly bring their unique experience and expertise to the consortium, and we are grateful for their willingness to share their insights and knowledge with us.

We look forward to collaborating with our new member and advisor to strive along our mission, and the addition of experienced and respectable professionals to our consortium will continue to strengthen our ability to further the adoption and practice of ESG.
