The ESG Consortium and BEAM Society Limited Sign MOU to Drive Sustainability in the Built Environment



[Hong Kong, 6 April 2023] The ESG Consortium (ESGC) and BEAM Society Limited (BSL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote sustainable development in the built environment. The MOU was signed by Mr. Hugh Chow, Executive Director of ESGC and Ir.C.S Ho, General Manager of BEAM Society Limited, during a ceremony held earlier today.

The partnership aims to consolidate the strengths and expertise of ESGC and BEAM Society Limited in the areas of environmental, social and governance responsibility (ESG) and sustainability, and to contribute towards a more sustainable future in the built environment.

ESGC is an ESG-oriented non-profit organization dedicated to advancing ESG initiatives in the different sector. While BEAM Society Limited is a non-profit organization promoting and developing the BEAM (Building Environmental Assessment Method) suite of tools and rating systems, which assess the environmental performance of a building or a built environment.

By leveraging their expertise, resources and networks, the two organizations will collaborate on various ESG initiatives including research, advocacy, capacity building and education programs.

Our complementary strengths and visions will enable us to achieve greater impact and scale in driving sustainability across the building sector and beyond.”

With the signing of the MOU, ESGC and BEAM Society Limited commit to a partnership that will help to achieve significant contributions towards advancing sustainability in the built environment.
